The Good News Lutheran School Parents and Friends Association's focus is to nurture an alliance between community and school. The P&F aims to generate community spirit and raise funds to provide the school and the students extra resources which otherwise may not be possible under the existing budgets of the school. Over recent years, the P&F have provided funds for school air conditioning, lighting for the hall, sports equipment, seating, major band instruments and accessories, purpose built playgrounds and extensive shade covering for facilities. Each year the P&F Association hosts fundraising events to generate community spirit and raise funds for the benefit of the school and its students. The P&F employs a tuckshop convenor to run the school tuckshop 2 days a week, and assists in various other school activities throughout the year, e.g the welcome morning tea for new parents, welcome BBQ for the school community,and thank you to parent volunteers at the end of the year. Your P&F Association has an active and enthusiastic committee and enjoys the support of many members on individual activities and projects. Members of the GNLS community are encouraged to participate and be involved wherever possible.
